‘Launching into SPACE’
Be Inspired, Aim High

From September 2017, students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will have a new subject on their timetable providing fresh opportunities for them to learn and grow. Called SPACE (Social, Personal, Aspirations, Careers and Ethics education), it is a merge of RE & Philosophy, PHSE, Careers, SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural), and British Values.

Led by Mr. Stares and Mrs. Cole, with a supporting team, this brand new subject will ensure that Felixstowe Academy students have access to regular, relevant lessons covering a range of important topics.

The themes of the lessons are listed below:
 Autumn Term

 Health, Wellbeing and Belief
 Spring Term

 Relationships and Social Skills
(including Sex and Relationships Education)
 Summer Term

 Living in the Wider World

This new initiative brings with it many new opportunities to help our students develop holistically into mature young adults prepared for life in modern Britain. We hope you will join us in welcoming SPACE onto the curriculum from September.
