Great Start by Year 7 Team

Our newest Academy team show great promise...

The Year 7s played their final County Cup match against St Albans, and friendly match against Northgate High School, in very competitive games.
Within the County Cup match, our players performed extremely well cutting out their two main threats who were very skillful.  The Academy team took the lead in the first half after Oscar Kearney closed down the goal keeper and forced him into a mistake, which Edward Swain capitalised on.

At half time we moved things around slightly which worked in our favour as Edward scored a further two goals to get his hat-trick.  The defence played extremely well and the goal keeper, Jack Webster made some OUTSTANDING saves in a full size goal which they are not used to playing at this age.  That was our last competitive match of the year for this year group as you are normally required to win 3 out of the 4 games to progress however we have now won 2 and lost 2 but time will tell.

The team listed below, have done extremely well in their first year at Felixstowe Academy.  The Year 7 squad included:
  • Jack Webster
  • Owen Watts
  • Charlie Coleman
  • Brett de Nooijer
  • Connor Lewis
  • Max Poole
  • Reuben Bowen
  • Kieran Durrant
  • Cale Jones
  • Edward Swain
  • Oscar Kearney
  • Lewis Millions
  • Charlie Phillips
  • Dominik Wieckowski
