The Felixstowe Academy Chamber Concert, as always was a complete success. With performances ranging from classical violin and piano pieces to 1980s rock hits, the outstanding talent of these Felixstowe Academy students was clearly on show.
The audience were enthralled with the high level of performance from students representing all year groups and the professional attitude of the performers throughout the concert. As Mr Wren says, “There is such an eclectic mix of talent at this Academy and when it is shown to its full potential it puts on a fantastic concert”.
Students at the Felixstowe Academy always aim to perform to a high standard in all their music and dramatic performances, and put in a lot of preparation. These performances would never be possible if not for the Felixstowe Academy Music Department teaching staff, Mr Wren, Mr Keane and Mr Smith who have put their own time and effort into this fantastic evening.
The Chamber Concert received terrific comments from those that attended.
Mrs Susan Robinson, Chair of Governors, said of the evening ‘The Chamber Concert was lovely. The standard of playing and singing was high and the range of music really enjoyable. We have got such a wealth of musical talent at Felixstowe Academy which is nurtured and encouraged by our excellent music staff. Please pass on my congratulations to Mr Wren, to all the staff involved and, above all, to the music students who performed so well’
Mrs Anna Tink praised the support of the teaching staff at the Academy, saying ‘I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks as ever to that great team of Mr Wren, Mr Keane and Mr Gould and to all the students and staff involved in another wonderful evening.”
The audience, students, teaching staff and I are looking forward to the challenging Summer Concert which of course never fails to impress us even more with the talent of the Felixstowe Academy students.
