Record Number of Pupil Reward Prizes on their Way

At the end of last term, we were delighted to award over 112 prizes to students through Year Group assemblies.  The great news is that students have been earning an amazing level of points over the past few weeks, and prizes claimed up to May 31 will be issued through assemblies week commencing Monday 17 June.  We have a further 169 prizes to give out!

Students can find out if they have made the Top 10 of their Year Group for achieving reward points by following the link to the latest Pupil Reward Points tables…

Felixstowe Academy Reward Points - Top 10 Students Tables

Felixstowe Academy’s Pupil Rewards system gives all students the opportunity to earn points towards reward prizes.  Students build up a collection of points which they then exchange for an item of their choice listed on the website (  Students can set their target in advance and then work towards it.

As a result of our last prize awards, students have been asking if new incentives can be added to the existing list.  As a result of this feedback, we have added in High Street Vouchers, 3 Month Xbox Live Membership and Cath Kidston vouchers.  Please continue to let us know if there is something that you would like to work towards, that is not currently on the prize list!

Students also have the opportunity to donate their rewards to a charity of their choosing, and we are delighted to report that over £200 has been donated in 2013 so far, with some students making more than one charitable donation.  Charities have included Help for Heroes, Felixstowe Blue Cross, Water Aid, Cancer Research and St Elizabeth Hospice to name but a few.

Reward points can be entered by the member of staff concerned or the student can be given a ‘Top Up’ voucher which enables the student to enter the information.

Students can be awarded points for the following reasons:

• Completing work that achieves their target

• Work completed that exceeds their target

• Deadlines met

• Positive contribution to the lesson

• Positive contribution to the tutor group

• Attending an extra-curricular activity

• A reason designated by a member of staff

Students can also have points automatically transferred on a regular basis for:

• 100% attendance in a term

• Exemplary Behaviour

• Music Awards

• Sporting Awards

• Attending extra-curricular activities

• Representing the Academy in teams, productions, events etc

• Occasional spot-checks on uniform
