It was a great honour for Felixstowe Academy to participate in this year’s Act of Remembrance at the town’s War Memorial alongside the Mayor of Felixstowe, Councillor Jan Garfield, and other community representatives.

Year 11 Head Boy Ollie Smith and Year 9 Prefect and Student Council member Kirsty Laird represented Felixstowe Academy in the Wreath Laying ceremony and were a real credit to the Academy for their considered attitude and participation.

The Academy was also represented at the seafront service by Year 7 Head Boy and Girl, Kai Kerry and Katie Bridges-Burns, who joined Student Voice Co-ordinator Mr Lawson-Frost and hundreds of local residents around the War Memorial.

Many Felixstowe Academy students were also present as part of their cadet units.  The deportment and professionalism of these students within their cadet groups were a real credit to their families and the community as a whole.
