Computer Game Coding group have created and uploaded a total of 11 original computer games for use by the international community within the last 48 hours.
Students in this pathway spent the first day discussing and learning the theory of computer game design, developing an original game concept, and practicing with two game design programmes:Scratch and Kodu. Students then chose one of the two programmes to create their original game concept.
On day two these students developed, coded and tested their game characters, environments and game engines (rules and scoring code).
On day three these students are beta testing each other’s games, gathering feedback from the international community of gamers who play their games online, and further refining their original games based on the feedback received. These students are also competing for “Best in Category” titles within this pathway. Results will be released at the end of today.
